AIRCRAFT VULTEE BT-13A AND 15 VALIANT ORIGINAL ENGINE OIL TANK

Description

This auction is for an original Vultee BT-13 A or 15 Valiant WWII trainer engine oil tank , The data plates this oil tank was used in the Vultee BT-13 A  AND 15 . THE BT-13 AND 15 were used as basic trainers by the Air Force and Navy in WWII . The only difference between   the BT-13 and 15  is the engine size , The 13 had the Pratt and Whitney R-985 , and the 15 had the 450 hp wright R-975-11
The BT-13 oil tank was also used on the 450 hp  powered Stearman biplanes used for agricultural flying by crop dusters. In fact the oil tank neck was modified for the Stearman fit application. The tank
weighs 18 pounds. Overall dimentions are 38 x 28 x 19 . The nice feature of this tank is that it comes with some mounting  brackets and straps. Inside the tank there is black oil residue it would need to be flushed out for use. nice display piece as well. could be used on a 450 Stearman or BT-13. I will ship in cardboard box ups.
