Up for sale is a vintage Boeing Inertial Navigation System Manual.
This manual was for training purposes. This manual was prepared for training presentations at airline terminal locations. They are intended for use by Boeing representatives, or airline instructors, at the option of the customer. The inertial navigation system enables the pilot or autopilot to fly great circle routes anywhere on earth without the use of any external signal sources such as ground transmitters. This manual may have been partly used for the Boeing 747 jumbo jet aircraft.
This manual was produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes company.
This manual is 11.25 inches tall by 8.8 inches wide by .25 of an inch thick.
This manual is in okay condition with some issues. There is some handwriting on the front cover of this manual. There is some age related fading on the front cover of this manual. The bottom right & top right corners are bent & wrinkled. There are some rust stains on the back of the front cover of this manual from the rust on the old metal binding that is helping to hold the manual together. Other than the rust on the metal binding & on the back of the front cover, the rest of the inside of the manual looks to be in good condition. The back cover of this manual has some writing on it, there is a very small tear on the lower left center edge of this manual. The back cover of this manual has some age related wear on it.
September 1971 is the issue date of this manual.
This is a rare vintage Boeing inertial navigation system manual that may have been used partly for the Boeing 747 jet aircraft.
