    Description

A large, lovely piece of Americana, this Quadruple Plated Tipping Cold Water Coffee Pot is from the 1880s and it has the dents and bent places to prove it. The base is bent in one place; the overarch is bent and there are dents here and there on the Pot. The Pot's attached lid does not close perfectly. Still, this piece has enormous character and it could - and should - be repaired. Made by Meriden Silver Plate Co., it weighs a whopping 8.2 pounds on my bathroom scale.
This whole contraption includes four separate pieces: the Coffee Pot, the cup, the silver arch, and the base. They all fit together nicely and the pot does tip as it is supposed to. It is marked "quadruple plated" in several places, and on the bottom it is marked "Meriden Silver Plate Co."
As one piece it measures 17" tall by approximately 9" wide and long. The cup is in good, unbent shape.
I usually don't charge for shipping, but I will for this because it is so heavy. Shipping is .
