Measures approx 7” long x 3 3/4” high x 3 5/8” wide
Research suggests that this set is dates from around 1900 - 1930. This coincides with the famous Southern Hotel in St. Louis, MO. The hotel went out of business in the 1930’s, after decades of being a popular destination. It was usual for hotels to sell their fine silver at auction on closing. Wallace was a big name in the hotel industry because of its use of silvered solder, as Appleseed to leaded solder, and their thicker quality silver plating that took lots of abuse.
You can see that this set has seen its share of use and it is amusing and unusual that they have stayed a pair after so many years.
