Up for sale is a
Vintage Griswold “New American” 3” Reversible Steel Spindle!
This is a vintage Griswold cast iron stove pipe or flue damper from the
1940s!
(The latest patent date on the damper is from 1939.) It was made by
Griswold Manufacturing
in
Erie
,
Pennsylvania
,
USA
. The 3” damper is complete with its 6½” long spindle. As shown in the photos, it is in very good condition for its age with a nice patina. There is very little light surface oxidation, and the cast markings are nice and clear. This vintage Griswold “New American” Reversible Steel Spindle would make a great addition to your collection!
